Recent Files Hub does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Your files and preferences stay entirely on your device.
Recent Files Hub does not collect any personal data. Specifically, the app:
The app accesses file metadata (file names, dates, sizes, and types) through the macOS Spotlight API (NSMetadataQuery). This is a system-level service that provides indexed file information.
The app:
When you enable iCloud Sync, the app stores your preferences and pinned file references in your private iCloud container using Apple's CloudKit framework.
The app stores your preferences (such as display settings, filter configuration, and excluded folders) locally on your device using macOS UserDefaults. This data never leaves your Mac unless you enable iCloud Sync.
Recent Files Hub does not use any third-party services, frameworks, analytics platforms, advertising networks, or external APIs. The app is built entirely with native Apple frameworks.
The app does not knowingly collect any information from children or any other users. No data is collected from anyone.
If this privacy policy is updated, changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Significant changes will be communicated through the app's update notes on the Mac App Store.
